Teaching Exprerience

Teaching activities have included undergraduate courses in feeds and feeding, ruminant nutrition, companion animal nutrition, advanced canine nutrition, meat animal management, beef production, and sheep production and team teaching of a graduate research methods course.

Service on various Department and College level committees related to the undergraduate program.

Advisor of Penn State Chapter - 1980 - 1993

Regularly attended national conventions

Served as advisor to regional Northeast Student Affiliate animal science group.

Beef cattle nutrition and forage work published in the Journal of Animal Science, Journal of Dairy Science, Agronomy Journal, and New Zealand Journal of Agricultural Research

Monthly columnist (livestock management) for the American Agriculturist (1983-1992) and the Pennsylvania Farmer (1992-present) magazines.
